Frankfurt Tamil Sangam e. V.  (2015 -2025) – 10th Anniversary Message

 

 

Dear Members of Frankfurt Tamil Sangam,

As we proudly celebrate the 10th anniversary of Frankfurt Tamil Sangam e.V. (FTS), we take this special moment to express our heartfelt gratitude to each one of you.

Your unwavering support, active participation, and dedication have been the pillars of our journey since our humble beginnings in 2015. What began with just 50 families and 100 members has now grown into a thriving community of over 490 families and more than 1,000 members.

Together, we have upheld our core mission — to preserve, practice, and promote the rich heritage, traditions, and language of Tamil, while fostering unity, mutual respect, and cultural harmony in our diverse community.

FTS is led by a dedicated team comprising 6 Board Members and 9 Executive Committee Members.

We take pride in maintaining transparency, inclusiveness, and neutrality, with a firm stance of being non-political and non-religious.

 

Highlights of Our 10-Year Journey

Cultural & Integration Achievements

  • Organized 20 indoor and 10 outdoor events, creating countless joyful memories.

  • Engaged 120 volunteer choreographers and trainers who passionately guided our cultural programs.

  • Trained over 2,000 performers in Tamil folk arts, dance, and drama.

  • 25 performers have become choreographers — a true symbol of community empowerment.

  • Conducted around 300 days of training sessions to prepare for our events.

  • Welcomed an estimated 15,000 attendees across all our programs.

Supporting Social Causes

  • Provided medical & financial support to Tamilnadu during the COVID-19 pandemic.

  • Organized relief efforts during the 2015 & 2017 floods and cyclones in Tamil Nadu.

  • Continually supported our diaspora during times of crisis.

Giving Back to Society 

  • Hosted the Tamil Nadu Day 2024 Conference:
    • Connected German entrepreneurs with the TN Government.
    • Facilitated networking among professionals and business leaders with Honourable Ministers, officials  from Tamilnadu, Consul General.
    • Resulted in 7 MOUs signed between German entities and the Tamil Nadu Government.
  • Hosted  the MSME & StartupTN Meet 2025
    • Presented a review of Tamil Nadu Global Startup Summit (TNGSS) 2025
    • Conducted interactive sessions with Honourable Minister, StartupTN, SICCI and delegates on MSME investment opportunities from Germany to India.

 

We remain committed to passing Tamil traditions to future generations while proudly sharing our heritage with the broader German and international communities.

FTS remains as a cultural ambassadors, we showcase the beauty, depth, and vibrancy of Tamil heritage.

This 10-year celebration is not just a moment to reflect on our achievements; it is also a time to look forward.

With pride in our past and hope for the future, we eagerly anticipate the next chapter of growth, unity, and inspiration.
